General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Prevent deterioration of battery caused by high temperature
  • Prevent accident caused by high temperature of Battery
  1. Faulty hybrid battery pack
  2. Poor connection or open in harness or connector between battery module and BMS
  3. Faulty temperature sensor No. 1 to 5
  4. Open in temperature sensor No. 1 to 5 harness
  5. Ground short in temperature sensor No. 1 ~ 5 harness
  6. Faulty Fan Module
  7. Faulty BMS ECU
Detecting Method
  • Temperature is higher than threshold for more than 5 sec.
Enable Condition
  • Ignition ON Auxiliary battery volts between 9V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Maximum battery temperature is higher than 70°C (158°F)
DTC release Condition
  • Battery temperature is less than 50°C (122°F)
Service Lamp ON Condition
  • In case of 1 time DC (Driving cycle: ST ON ~ IG OFF 1 time)
Service Lamp "OFF" Condition
  • In case of satisfying release condition
Safety Mode
  • Stop supplying high voltage (Stop HEV function): Keep main relay status OFF
  • BMS available POWER: 0kW
