Items to check when the results of electric oil pump (EOP) performance test are determined as "Check"

  1. Check the ROM version of oil pump unit (OPU) (check from the "EOP Test completed" screen).
    1. Case 1 (speed control)

      Vehicle type: YF HEV 11/12MY

      ROM version 01, 02, 03, 04

    2. Case 2 (power control)

Vehicle type: YF HEV 13MY ~ HG HEV

      ROM version 10, 11, 12

  2. Conduct inspection on EOP power side (3 pin) connector and conduct resistance inspection.
    1. Measure the resistance on terminal U-W, U-V, V-W (16 ~ 30 m)
    2. Check for loose, damaged connector and inflow of foreign substance.

  3. Check for rotor abrasion (ROM version 01, 02) (check from the "EOP Test completed" screen).
    1. In case of YF 11/12MY ROM version 01 and 02.
    2. EOP RPM is determined as normal. When OPU electric current value is shown as "Check", improve driving comfort of #271 YF HEV (change OPU ROM version 03).
    3. Check for OPU ROM version 03 and fault code

P1777 OPU power control circuit operates abnormal.

    4. Conduct inspection on EOP rotor.
  4. Check for loose OPU connector (B-5 pin, A-18 pin).
    1. Check for loose and damaged connector.
    2. Check for any terminal pushed back, damaged wiring and inflow of foreign substance.

  5. Inspect the electric circuit of electronic oil pump (EOP).
    1. Inspect SD233-1 Electronic Oil Pump system engine room fuse & relay box.
  6. Reconduct EOP performance test.
    1. Conduct inspection on item No. 1 ~ 5. Then, reconduct EOP performance test.
