Component Inspection

■ Check Status of Linkage of height sensor 

1. Check the separation or faulty assemblage of linkage of height sensor with the vehicle lifted.

2. Has the problem been found?

   YES 

   • Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO 

   • Go to "AHLS-ECU" procedure.

■ Check AHLS-ECU 

1. Engine "ON" and Head lamp "ON".
2. Lift the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the linkage of height sensor.
4. Monitor the "SENSOR ANGLE" Parameter on the Scantool while moving linkage vertically.
5. Is there any change in "SENSOR ANGLE" Parameter?

   YES 

   • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the AHLS ECM connector or was repaired and AHLS ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

     Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   • Check Head Lamp movement with actuation test and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO 

   • Substitute with a known-good "AHLS-ECM (SENSOR)" and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace "AHLS-ECM (SENSOR)" and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
   • After its repair done, Perform the lamp actuation by GDS in order to verify its normal operation.
     CAUTION: Perform Vehicle Selection and Level Initialization with scantool if AHLS ECM is replace. (Auto Levelling Sensor)
