CAN Circuit Inspection (EPS ↔ PCM)

■ Open Check 

1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect EPS CM & ECM (PCM) connector.
3. Measure resistance between CAN HIGH terminal of the EPS CM harness connector and CAN HIGH terminal of the ECM (PCM) harness connector.
4. Measure resistance between CAN LOW terminal of the EPS CM harness connector and CAN LOW terminal of the ECM (PCM) harness connector.

   Specification:  Approx. below 1

5. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

   YES 

   • Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.

   NO 

   • Check Open between EPS CM & Engine ECM (PCM) harness.
   • Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
