Control Circuit Inspection

■ Open Circuit Inspection
- Disconnect the connector of relay side and OPU side.
- Measure resistance between "Relay control circuit pin of OPU and OPU connector.
- Measure resistance between Relay ON power pin of OPU and OPU connector.
Specification: Approx. 0 Ω
- Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to "Short Circuit Inspection" procedure below.
NO
- Check circuit open of harness and go to "VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
■ Short Circuit Inspection
- Power circuit short inspection.
- Disconnect "connector of Relay side and connector of Oil Pump Unit side.
- Measure a resistance between "relay control pin of Oil Pump Unit wire side and Battery power.
Specification: Infinite
- Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to "Chassis Short Inspection" procedure below.
NO
- Check circuit open of harness. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
■ Chassis Ground Short Inspection
- Disconnect "Oil Pump Unit connector and relay connector.
- Measure a resistance between "relay control pin of Oil Pump Unit wire side and chassis ground.
Specification: Infinite
- Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Check harness for short circuit. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
