Control Circuit Inspection

■ Open Circuit inspection
- Disconnect OPU side 18pin connector and 5pin connector of EOP.
- Measure resistance between signal pin of hall sensor connector and signal pin of hall sensor of EOP.
Specification: Approx. 0 Ω
- Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to "Short Circuit Inspection" procedure below.
NO
- Check circuit open of harness and go to "VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
■ Short Circuit Inspection
- Power circuit short inspection.
- Disconnect "5pin connector of EOP side and 18pin connector of Oil Pump Unit.
- Measure a resistance between "disconnected connector and Battery power.
Specification: Infinite

- Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to next step.
NO
- Check harness for short circuit. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
■ Chassis Ground Short Inspection
- Chassis circuit short inspection.
- Disconnect "5pin connector of EOP side and 18pin connector of Oil Pump Unit.
- Measure a resistance between "disconnected connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Infinite

- Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Check harness for short circuit. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
