Control Circuit Inspection

■ Open Circuit Inspection

IG KEY "OFF".
Disconnect "OPU" & "PCM/TCM" connector.
Measure resistance between PWM control line of OPU connector" and PWM control line of PCM/TCM.
Specification: Approx. 0 Ω

Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to next step.
NO
- Check circuit open of harness and go to "VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ Short Circuit Inspection

Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect "Oil Pump Unit connector and PCM/TCM connector.
Measure a resistance between "PWM line of oil pump unit and Battery power.
Specification: Infinite

Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to next step.
NO
- Check harness for short circuit. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ Chassis Ground Short Inspection

Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect "Oil Pump Unit connector and PCM/TCM connector.
Measure a resistance between "PWM line of oil pump unit and chassis ground.
Specification: Infinite

Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Check harness for short circuit. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
