  4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

    YES

    • Go to "PCM/TCM Inspection" procedure below.

    NO

■ PCM/TCM

  1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
  2. Connect Oil temperature sensor connector.
  3. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC) and select Simulation mode.
  4. Input 0 → 5 voltage at Oil temperature sensor signal line by simulation mode and Monitoring Oil temperature.

ⓧ It is subject to change vehicle condition.

  5. Is measured Oil temperature sensor value changed by simulating voltage?

    YES

    • Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO

    • Substitute with a known-good PCM/TCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM/TCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
