H-CAN communication line inspection

■ Check short to ground in H-CAN communication line.

IG KEY OFF
Disconnect PCM, BMS connector.
Measure resistance between H-CAN High terminal of PCM connector and chassis ground.
Measure resistance between H-CAN Low terminal of PCM connector and chassis ground.

■ Check Short to Battery in H-CAN Communication Line.

IG KEY OFF
Disconnect PCM, BMS connector.
IG KEY ON
Measure voltage between H-CAN High Terminal (# 3) of PCM connector and chassis ground.
Measure voltage between H-CAN Low Terminal (#11) of PCM connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 0V

Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Check PCM, BMS connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Check short to battery in communication line. And then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  Check short to ground in communication line. And then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
