Monitor Scantool Data

  1. Ignition ON/Hybrid Ready (Cluster Indicator "READY" On) Vehicle Parked.
  2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
  3. Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "Generator (HSG) Resolver Offset" parameter.

    (Fig.1-2) If the Generator (HSG) Resolver CAL Command value is 1 or 4, It means that the Resolver is needed to initiate.

    (Fig.1-3) Check that the Generator (HSG) Resolver Offset value is in the 6.28 ± 0.17 el range.

  4. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE").
  5. Connect GDS and select "Vehicle SW Management" mode.
  6. Select "Drive Motor/HSG Resolver Calibration" parameter.
    • If the Drive Motor/HSG Resolver Calibration condition is not satisfied, Initialization will not be completed. Therefore, check the condition is satisfied.
  7. After completing initialization, check that the "Drive Motor Resolver CAL Command" is "0".

  8. Are the "Generator (HSG) Resolver CAL Command" value displayed as Error or Ready, and "Generator (HSG) Resolver Offset" value displayed in the 6.28 ± 0.17el range?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good Generator (HSG) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Generator (HSG) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    • After Component replacement Motor/HSG Resolver Calibration must be performed using the GDS.
