Terminal and Connector Inspection

- Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminal condition. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
- Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
- Has a problem been found?
YES
- Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Go to Next procedure.
■ Check for Open in Harness
- Ignition OFF
- Disconnect safety plug from the main battery (Wait for 5 minutes after OFF).
- Disconnect Drive Motor Cable and MCU main harness connector.
- Measure resistance between Cable terminal of Drive Motor Cable harness connector and Cable terminal of MCU harness connector.
Specification: Below 1Ω
- Is the measured resistance within specifications?
YES
- Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Check for open in harness.
- Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
