Monitor Scantool Data

- Ignition ON/Hybrid Ready (Cluster Indicator "READY" On) Vehicle Parked.
- Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
- Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "Enable Flag for Electric Water Pump (EWP) Operation" parameter.
(Fig.1-2) If the EWP Operation Status value is ON, It means that EWP operation is available.
(Fig.1-3) If the EWP Operation Speed is ON, RPM will be displayed around 3300 RPM.
- Check if the "EWP Operation Status" value is displayed as "OFF".
Check poor connection, open or short in EWP IG and GND.
Substitute with a known-good EWP and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace EWP and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
When replaced EWP, Perform air-bleeding for EWP with GDS.
