General Information: General Description

The Motor Control Unit (MCU) supplies AC voltage to both the Drive Motor and the Hybrid Starter Generator (HSG). The Drive Motor provides output torque to the drivetrain and the HSG starts the gasoline Engine. The MCU uses two internal Inverters to convert the input DC high voltage into output AC voltage.

NOTE: * When at EV Ready status the HSG is operational and may begin turning at any time. Stay clear of the drive belt during this time.
