Monitor Scantool Data

Ignition ON/Hybrid Ready (Cluster Indicator "READY" On) Vehicle Parked.
Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "MCU Temperature" parameter.
Specification: - 22 ~ 302°F (-30 ~ 150°C)

(Fig.2-1) Check that temperature value is changing as the Actual Drive Motor Torque is getting increased.

(Fig.2-2) Check the EWP is in normal operation.
If the current temperature is abnormal, check below parts.
Check Cooling System is normal operation (including EWP operation).

Check temperature also increases as the Drive Motor Torque output is getting increased.

Check temperature value changes while driving vehicle.

Substitute with a known-good MCU and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace MCU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

After Component replacement Motor/HSG Resolver Calibration must be performed using the GDS.
