(Fig.2-1) Check Number of Generator (HSG) operation, and Generator (HSG) or MCU (GCU) temperature changes as time goes by.

(Fig.2-2) Check EWP is operating correctly.

  4. If the current temperature is abnormal, check below parts.

Check the MCU or HSG cooling system because MCU cooling system failure gives influence to HSG temperature changes.

Check the temperature changes between MCU and GCU and HSG and LDC are similar.

Check temperature is changing as the MCU Motor Torque or HSG is increased.

Check the temperature is changing with vehicle driving.

Check Cooling System is normal operation (including EWP operation).

Substitute with a known-good HSG and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace HSG and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

Substitute with a known-good MCU (HPCU) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace MCU (HPCU) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

After Component replacement Motor/HSG Resolver Calibration must be performed using the GDS.
