General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Resistor/Voltage range check
  1. Open in sensor circuit.
  2. Short between REZ + and REZ? each other.
  3. Short to power in signal circuit.
  4. Faulty Generator (HSG) Position Sensor
Enable Conditions
  • Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE")
  • Aux. Battery Voltage is between 9V and 16V
  • Other DTCs not detected
  • Failure could be detected with P0A78
Threshold Value
  • Open in sensor circuit.
  • Short between REZ + and REZ? each other.
  • Short to power in signal circuit.
Diagnosis Time
  • 660ms

  • 1 Driving Cycle
MIL On Condition
  • 1 Driving Cycle
Service Lamp On Condition
  • 1 Driving Cycle
