Monitor Scantool Data

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition ON/Hybrid Ready (Cluster Indicator "READY" On) Vehicle Parked.
  2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
  3. Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "MCU (GCU) Temperature" parameter.

    Specification:  - 22 ~ 302°F (-30 ~ 150°C)

(Fig.2-2) Check EWP is operating correctly.

  4. If the current temperature is abnormal, check below parts.

Check the MCU cooling system because MCU cooling system failure gives influence to HSG temperature changes.

Check the temperature changes between MCU and LDC are similar

Check the temperature changes between MCU and GCU and HSG and LDC are similar.

Check Number of Generator (HSG) operation, and Generator (HSG) temperature changes as time goes by.

Substitute with a known-good MCU (HPCU) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace MCU (HPCU) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

After Component replacement Motor/HSG Resolver Calibration must be performed using the GDS.
