General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage range check
  1. Short to high voltage in signal circuit
  2. Open circuit
  3. Faulty Generator (HSG) Temperature sensor.
Enable Conditions
  • Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE")
  • Battery voltage is between 9V and 16V
  • No other related DTCs
  • Generator (HSG) Inverter Temperature > 86°F (30°C)
Threshold Value
  • Sensor signal is over 4.83V or Sensor connector is open for 10s.
Diagnosis Time
  • 1s.

  • 2 Driving Cycle
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycle
Service Lamp On Condition
  • 1 Driving Cycle
