General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical Check
  1. Open or Short to ground in power circuit
  2. Open or short to ground in signal circuit
  3. Poor connection or damaged harness
  4. Faulty APS1
Enable Conditions
  • No error for power supply circuit in APS1
  • APS2 > 0.55V
Threshold Value
  • APS1 < 0.23V
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.3 sec.
MIL On Condition
  • 1 Driving Cycle
Limp-Home
  • Forced limited power mode: The PCM limits opening angle of the throttle valve to max. 50% and engine torque to a certain predetermined value.
  • After idle recognition, the PCM uses APS2 signal to calculate the current opening angle of the throttle valve.
