Connect GDS to DLC.
Check for Engine DTC(s).
Clear any Engine DTC(s).
If no Engine DTC(s), select the "Engine Coolant Temperature" parameter.
EV Ready: Compare Engine Coolant Temperature versus actual Engine Temperature.

Is the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor normal?
YES
- Check for any CAN related DTC(s) and then repair or replace as necessary. Clear DTC(s) and confirm no DTC(s) return.
- This is a intermittent problem caused by poor contact of Control Module.
- Thoroughly check the looseness, poor connection, bent, corrosion, contamination, deformation or damage of connector.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Check Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, circuit, or related component. Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
