Ground Circuit Inspection

■ Open or Short Check
- IG "OFF" & ENG "OFF".
- Disconnect the HECU connector.
- Measure resistance between ground terminal of the AHB harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. below 1Ω
- Is the measured value within specifications?
YES
- Substitute with a known-good AHB ECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace AHB ECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.NOTE: * In a case of replacing AHB, operate following functions
- "Brake Pedal Travel Sensor Calibration" for brake pedal travel sensor offset correction (refer to ID0014706">C1380 )
- "Pressure Sensor Calibration" for pressure sensor offset correction (refer to ID0014718">C1384 )
NO
- Repair open or short in ground circuit between battery and AHB harness connector and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- Substitute with a known-good AHB ECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace AHB ECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
