ECU (AHLS) Inspection

  1. IG "ON"
  2. Turn on the head lamp.
  3. Lift up the vehicle and visually check the condition of the ECU. (Abnormal assembly, damaged by an impact.)
  4. Check for the changes of the current data.
  5. Is the sensor angle changed as the load is moving.

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and AHLDM memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration and/or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good "AHLDM (SENSOR)" and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace "AHLDM (SENSOR)" and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    • After its repair done, Perform the lamp actuation by GDS in order to verify its normal operation.
    CAUTION: When you replace AHLDM, Initializing level should be preformed by using "Vehicle S/W Management" function on GDS.
