BSD Switch Inspection
- Component Inspection
- IG Key "OFF".
- Disconnect BSD switch connector.
- Measure resistance between terminals of BSD switch connector.
- Inspect during BSD switch ON/OFF operation.
BSD Switch Terminal When the IG ON When the IG OFF Resistance (+) terminal: Pin No. 13
(-) terminal: Pin No. 10.38 kΩ ~ 0.49 kΩ 95.6 kΩ ~ 105.6 kΩ - Inspect during BSD indicator operation
Symptom Inspection Measure the Pin Number When turning the switch ON, the indicator light is not on. Check for lighting of indicator when connecting 12V. (+) Terminal: Pin No. 12
(-) Terminal: Pin No. 1
- Inspect during BSD switch ON/OFF operation.
- Is the measured resistance within specification?
YES
- Substitute with a known-good BSD ECU (LH) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace BSD ECU (LH) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good BSD Switch and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace BSD Switch and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
