Repair procedures: Replacement

Information 

• When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
• Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces to protect from marring the surface.
• Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

1. Remove the console front complete assembly.

   (Refer to "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

2. Remove the crash pad lower panel.

   (Refer to "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")

3. Remove the glove box housing.

   (Refer to "GLOVE BOX HOUSING ")

4. Remove the heater control unit.

   (Refer to "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT (MANUAL) ")

   (Refer to "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT (DATC) ")

5. After loosening the mounting screw, then remove the crash pad garnish [LH] (A).

6. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the center crash pad cover (A).

7. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the crash pad center lower panel (A).

8. Disconnect the console under lamp connector (A).

9. Install in the reverse order of removal.

   Information 

   • Make sure the connector are connected in properly.
   • Replace any damaged clips.
