Cowl Cross Bar Replacement
NOTE:
- When prying with a flat-up screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Take care not to scratch the body surface.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Remove the front seat. (Refer to "FRONT SEAT ")
- Remove the front pillar trim. (Refer to "INTERIOR TRIM ")
- Remove the floor console assembly. (Refer to "CONSOLE ")
- Remove the front door scuff trim. (Refer to "INTERIOR TRIM ")
- Remove the cowl side trim. (Refer to "INTERIOR TRIM ")
- Remove the cowl top cover. (Refer to "COWL TOP COVER ")
- Remove the main crash pad.
- Disconnect the blower unit connectors. (Refer to "POWER MOSFET ")
- Disconnect the multi box connectors (A).
- Disconnect the passenger compartment junction box connectors.
- Disconnect the airbag control module (SRSCM) connectors (A).
- Remove the airbag control module wiring mounting clips (B).
- After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, remove the cowl cross bar assembly (A).
- Installation is the reverse of removal.
NOTE:
- Make sure the cowl cross bar fits onto the guide pins correctly.
- Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
