W/Harness Inspection
- Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
- Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
- Has a problem been found?
YES
- Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Go to " LIN communication circuit inspection" procedure.
- LIN communication circuit inspection
- IG "ON" & ENG "ON"
- After connect GDS, select "Oscilloscope" mode.
- Measure the signal waveform between headlamp (LH and RH)'s LIN communication of wiring side.
Specification: Refer to "SIGNAL WAVEFORM "
- Is "voltage" display near the specified value?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Check for open/short in harness.
- Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
