General Information: General Description

Pressure-Side Impact Sensor and Side Impact Sensor are installed in the left and the right side of front door and in the lower of B-pillar respectively.

Unlike the conventional acceleration sensor such as DSIS, PSIS, the Pressure Sensor senses an air pressure changes as door volume changes due to a deformation of door during crash event

SRSCM receives both signals from Pressure SIS/D or PSIS and calculates the crash severity along with internal safing sensor signal. SRSCM issues the deployment of side/curtain airbags if combined crash signals meet the crash severity level of side crash discrimination algorithm in side of SRSCM
