Cowl Cross Bar Assembly Replacement

  1. Remove the front seat.
  2. Remove the floor console.
  3. Remove the crash pad.
  4. Loosen the mounting bolts, then remove the A/C hose.

    (Refer to REPLACEMENT "Air conditioning system" in HA group) )

  5. Remove the clips, then remove heater hose.

    (Refer to "HEATER " in HA group)

  6. Remove the cowl top cover.
  7. Disconnect the driver's wiring connectors.

  8. Disconnect the passenger's wiring connectors.

  9. Disconnect the air bag connector (A), then remove the wiring (B).

  10. Loosen the mounting nut, then remove the air duct (A).

  11. Loosen the mounting bolts, then remove the cowl cross bar (A).

  12. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    NOTE:
    • When prying with a flat-up screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
    • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
    • Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
