FRONT STRUT ASSEMBLY

REASSEMBLY





1. Install the special tools (J38402, A-20) called spring compressor on the front spring and compress the spring.
After the front spring is fully compressed, install it to the shock absorber assembly.








NOTE:
1. Do not use an impact wrench.
2. Follow the front spring installation chart to load classification below.

2. Install the front suspension strut dust cover, the front shock absorber cup assembly, the front upper bushing (B), the front spring upper pad, the bracket assembly and the front upper bushing (A) in that order and tighten a new self-locking nut.





3. Position the upper and lower ends of the coil spring in the upper spring pad and lower spring seat groove.
4. Position the bracket and align the bracket bolt with the projection of the fork bracket in a straight line.





5. Loosen the special tools (J38402, A-20).





6. While holding the piston rod, tighten a new strut mounting self-locking nut to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Strut mounting self locking nut: 20-25 Nm (200-250 kgf-cm, 15-18 ft. lbs.)
