Main Moving System: Camshaft: Disassembly

  1. Remove the engine cover and intake manifold. For additional information, refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD .

  2. Disconnect the breather hose and the engine harness.

    For additional information, refer to ENGINE AND TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY .

  3. Remove the timing belt.

    For additional information, refer to TIMING BELT .

  4. Remove the spark plug cables.
  5. Loosen the cylinder head cover bolts and then remove it.

  6. Remove the camshaft sprockets.
  7. Remove the camshaft bearing caps.

  8. Remove the camshafts.
