Description & Operation

Disc/drum brake system is hydraulically operated using a master cylinder with a single reservoir and 2 outlets. A vacuum assist power brake booster is used on all models. Proportioning valves are used to control anti-skid braking action. Mechanical parking brake system is self-adjusting.

Disc brake pads have built-in wear indicator warning sensors. When brake pad lining is low, sensor will rub against rotor, causing a very notable squealing sound. All models are equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes as an option, or as standard equipment with Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS).
