Proportioning Valve

NOTE: XG350 is not equipped with proportioning valves. XG350 uses Hydraulic and Electronic Control Unit (HECU) to control Electronic Brake-Force distribution. For testing procedures, see ANTI-LOCK/TRACTION CONTROL - XG350 article.

Install 2 pressure gauges that will measure to at least 2000 psi (140.6 kg/cm² ) onto input and output sides of proportioning valve. See Fig 1 .
Measure both input and output pressure with brakes applied. If measured pressures are not within specification, replace proportioning valve. See Fig 2 , Fig 3 or Fig 4 . DO NOT disassemble proportioning valve.
