Rear Brake Shoes: Removal

Raise and support vehicle. Remove brake drum. Remove automatic adjuster spring and lever pawl. See Fig 1 , Fig 2 or Fig 3 . Spread shoes and remove brake shoe adjuster. Remove shoe-to-shoe spring and front shoe hold-down spring. Remove shoe end spring. Remove front shoe. Remove rear shoe hold-down spring and parking cable clip at shoe. Remove shoe.
