Oil Pressure Indicator Light

Oil pressure warning light should illuminate as a bulb check when ignition switch is turned on, and go out when engine starts and operates at idle. If oil pressure light does not operate as specified, disconnect oil pressure switch harness connector. Ground harness connector terminal. Turn ignition on. Oil pressure indicator should illuminate. If indicator does not illuminate, check for burned out bulb or open circuit in wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair or replace as necessary.
