Testing Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Hyundai XG350. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check fusible links No. 1 and 2 (both 30-amp). Fusible links are located in engine compartment relay/fuse box. Check fuses No. 19, 28 and ABS (all 10-amp). Fuses are located in passenger compartment junction block. If fuses and fusible links are okay, go to next step. If problem is found with fuses or fusible links, replace as necessary. After repair, retest system.
  2. Replace HECU. See HYDRAULIC AND ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repair, retest system.
