Proportioning Valve
NOTE:
XG300 is not equipped with proportioning valves. XG300 uses Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU). For removal & installation procedures, see appropriate ANTI-LOCK BRAKE article.
- Install 2 pressure gauges that will measure to at least 2000 psi (140.6 kg/cm2 ) onto input and output sides of proportioning valve. See Fig 1.
- Measure both input and output pressure with brakes applied. See Fig 2. If measured pressures are not within specification, replace proportioning valve. See PROPORTIONING VALVE TEST SPECIFICATIONS table. DO NOT disassemble proportioning valve.
