Coolant Temperature Sending Unit

Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ground and specified coolant temperature sending unit terminal. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE table. Replace coolant temperature sending unit if resistance is not as specified for indicated temperature. If resistance is as specified, check coolant temperature gauge. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE .

On Accent, measure resistance between ground and ECT sending unit terminal No. 2 (Blue wire) on SOHC, or terminal No. 3 (Blue wire) on DOHC. On Sonata, measure resistance between ground and ECT sending unit terminal No. 1 (Green wire). On Tiburon, measure resistance between ground and ECT sending unit terminal No. 1 (Blue wire). On XG300, measure resistance between ground and ECT sending unit terminal No. 2 (Green wire).
