Fuel Gauge: Tiburon

  1. Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit 6-pin connector located under rear seat cushion. Connect a 12-volt, 3.4-watt test light between terminals No. 1 and 3 of fuel gauge sending unit harness connector. See Fig 1. Turn ignition on. Ensure test bulb illuminates and fuel gauge moves gradually to full position.
  2. If test light illuminates but gauge does not move to full position, replace fuel gauge. If test light does not illuminate, check wiring between fuel gauge sending unit and fuel gauge. Repair as necessary.
