Removal (Elantra & Tiburon)
- Raise and support frame rail of vehicle with jack stands. Remove strut upper mounting nuts. See Fig 1. Remove brake caliper assembly, and suspend with a wire. Remove brake disc.NOTE: Brake hose does not need to be disconnected from brake caliper.
- Loosen parking brake cable clip mounting nut, and remove trailing arm mounting bolts from vehicle when removing rear suspension. Remove stabilizer bar link mounting nut. Disconnect ABS wheel sensor and cable from knuckle. Support crossmember with transaxle jack when removing crossmember mounting bolts. Lower suspension and remove as an assembly. See Fig 1.
