Removal & Installation (Accent)
- Raise and support frame rail of vehicle with jack stands. Disconnect or remove components as necessary to obtain clearance for strut assembly removal.
- From inside vehicle, remove cap from upper strut tower. Remove strut retaining nut. Remove lower strut bolt. Lower axle assembly just enough to withdraw strut assembly. See Fig 1.
- Using spring compressor, compress spring. Remove strut piston nut. Remove bracket assembly and spring pad. Remove spring. To install, reverse removal procedure.
NOTE:
Check rubber parts and coil springs for damage or deterioration.
