Check Passenger-side Satellite Sensor

  1. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Connect passenger-side satellite sensor connector to passenger-side satellite sensor. Connect SRSCM harness connector to SRSCM. Connect negative battery cable. Wait 30 seconds.
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds. Clear DTCs in scan tool memory. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Wait 30 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds.
    NOTE: DTCs other than B1403 or B1409 may be recorded in scan tool. They are not relevant to this check and should be disregarded.
  3. Check for DTCs in scan tool. If DTC B1403 or B1409 are recorded, replace passenger-side satellite sensor. If DTC B1403 or B1409 are not recorded, system is functioning properly.
