Check Passenger-side AIR Bag Resistance
- Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Connect Air Bag Simulator (0957A-38200) into passenger-side air bag harness connector. Measure resistance between terminals No. 13 (White/Black wire) and No. 12 (Green/White wire) at SRSCM harness connector. See Figure. If resistance is 1.6-2.8 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 1.6-2.8 ohms, replace wire harness.
- Remove Air Bag Simulator from harness and connect passenger-side air bag module. Connect negative battery cable. Wait 30 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds. Clear DTC"s from scan tool. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Wait 30 seconds.NOTE: DTCs other than 1352 or 1353 may be recorded in scan tool. They are not relevant to this check and should be disregarded.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds. If DTC B1352 or B1353 are recorded in scan tool, replace passenger-side air bag module. If DTC B1352 or B1353 are not recorded, system is functioning normally.
