Check Passenger-side Seat Belt Pretensioner Squib Circuit

  1. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Connect passenger-side seat belt pretensioner electrical connector. Connect SRSCM harness connector to SRSCM. Connect negative battery cable. Wait 30 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds. Clear DTC"s in scan tool. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Wait 30 seconds.
    NOTE: DTCs other than B1370 may be recorded in scan tool memory. They are not relevant to this check and should be disregarded.
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds. Check scan tool for DTC"s. If DTC B1370 is recorded in scan tool memory, replace passenger-side seat belt pretensioner. If DTC B1370 is not recorded, system is functioning normally.
