Check Passenger-side AIR Bag Squib Circuit
- Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Connect SRSCM harness to SRSCM. Connect negative battery cable. Wait 30 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 13 (White/Black wire) on SRSCM harness side of passenger-side air bag module harness connector. If voltage is zero, go to next step. If voltage is not zero, replace harness or connector between passenger-side air bag module and SRSCM.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least 30 seconds. Connect passenger-side air bag connector. Connect negative battery cable. Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait at least 30 seconds. Clear any malfunction codes in scan tool. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Wait 30 seconds.NOTE: DTCs other than 1355 may be recorded in scan tool. They are not relevant to this check and should be disregarded.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds. Check for DTC"s in scan tool. If DTC 1355 is recorded, replace passenger-side air bag. If DTC 1355 is not recorded, system is functioning normally.
