Check SRS Control Module

  1. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Connect SRSCM harness connector. Install jumper wires between high and low terminals of each SRS component. See Figure or Figure .
    NOTE: DTCs other than those being tested here may be output. They are not relevant to this check and should be disregarded.
  2. Connect negative battery cable. Wait 30 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait at least 30 seconds. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Wait at least 30 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait at least 30 seconds. Using scan tool, check for DTCs. If DTC B1348, B1354, B1363, B1369, B1380, B1384, B1401 or B1404 are output, replace SRSCM. If DTC B1348, B1354, B1363, B1369, B1380, B1384, B1401 or B1404 are not output, system is functioning properly at this time.
