Check Driver-side Side Impact AIR Bag Squib Circuit
- On models with passenger-side air bag, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 22 (Brown wire) on SRSCM wire side of harness connector. On models without passenger-side air bag, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 13 (White/Black wire) on SRSCM side of harness connector. See Figure or Figure . If resistance is infinite, go to next step. If resistance is not infinite, replace harness or connector between driver-side air bag module and SRSCM.
- Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Connect driver-side side impact air bag connector. Connect negative battery cable. Wait 30 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds. Clear any DTC"s in scan tool memory. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Wait 30 seconds.NOTE: DTC"s other than B1380 may be recorded in scan tool. They are not relevant to this test.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds. Check scan tool for DTC"s. If DTC B1380 is recorded, replace driver-side side impact air bag module. If DTC B1380 is not recorded, system is functioning normally.
