Check Driver-side Satellite Sensor Circuit

  1. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 31 (White wire) and between ground and terminal No. 6 (Brown wire) on SRSCM harness side of satellite sensor harness connector. See Figure. If resistance is infinite, go to next step. If resistance is not infinite, replace harness or connector between driver-side satellite sensor and SRSCM.
  2. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Connect driver-side seat belt pretensioner connector. Connect negative battery cable. Wait 30 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds. Clear any DTC"s in scan tool memory. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Wait 30 seconds.
    NOTE: DTC"s other than B1401 may be recorded in scan tool. They are not relevant to this test.
  3. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait 30 seconds. Check scan tool for DTC"s. If DTC B1401 is recorded in scan tool, replace driver-side satellite sensor. If DTC 1401 is not recorded, system is functioning normally.
