Air Is Emitted But Is Not Cool

If air is emitted but not cool, possible sources of the problem include the following:

• Magnetic clutch is not switched on. Inspect the fuse, A/C switch, dual pressure switch, thermostatic switch, compressor relay, magnetic clutch and A/C control unit. Replace components as necessary and retest system.
• Insufficient refrigerant. Check the refrigerant amount and adjust as necessary. See GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES .
• Clogged receiver drier. Inspect receiver drier and replace as necessary.
• Abnormal rotation of compressor. Check drive belt tension and adjust as necessary.
• Poor compressor compression. Inspect A/C compressor and replace if necessary. See COMPRESSOR SERVICING .
• Clogged expansion valve. Inspect and replace if necessary.
