DTC C1202, C1205, C1208 Or C1211: Air Gap Error

  1. Turn ignition off. Inspect suspect wheel speed sensor for proper installation. Repair as necessary and retest system. If installation is okay, go to next step.
  2. Check air gap between suspect wheel speed sensor and tone wheel. Air gap should be .008-.043" (.20-1.10 mm). If air gap is within specification, go to next step. If air gap is not within specification, adjust air gap and retest system.
  3. Inspect all connectors in circuit between suspect wheel speed sensor and Hydraulic and Electronic Control Unit (HECU) for poor connections. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary and retest system. If connectors are okay, replace HECU.
