Speedometer & Reed Switch: Speedometer

Test speedometer function using a scan tool (calibrated dynamometer on Sonata). Compare readings on instrument cluster speedometer with readings on scan tool (or dynamometer). Ensure readings indicated by instrument cluster speedometer are within tolerance limits. See SPEEDOMETER TEST  table. Check speedometer for pointer fluctuation and abnormal noise. Check odometer for correct operation. Repair or replace as necessary.
